 ABSTRACT
 Islamic law aims to organize human life better so that every is prescribed must have a purpose. Therefore, the existence of marriage From several meanings marriage, has very noble purpose, namely form sakinah mawaddah warahmah family. However, this purpose widely misunderstood for those who want practice polygamy. Polygamy interpreted only as biological distribution sex, meaning it fulfills sexual needs. Whereas polygamy maintain and elevate status woman by looking at large number women are not comparable men. some people abuse polygamy, whether they understand concept or not, we still trying give them an understanding good used layer their desires channel biology. We here focus on how according classical contemporary ulama', where results thoughts implied in known Indonesia. And increase data, use quantitative data comparing between scholars about which delivers families warhamah.
